Alpha Micro Wins Contracts

Alpha Microsystems said Wednesday that its services operation unit has received contracts to provide equipment service and support to several major companies including International Business Machines Corp., Amdahl Corp. and Access Corp.

Alpha Microsystems, a Santa Ana software seller and servicer, said IBM has contracted it to service workstations at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, while Amdahl has hired the company to provide network communications service and support for the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Terms of the deals weren’t disclosed.
