OCC Offering Views of Comet Hale-Bopp
Orange Coast College is offering residents one last opportunity to view Comet Hale-Bopp.
Students from astronomy classes will set up telescopes for the public from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday on a small access road behind the college’s horticulture department, just off Adams Avenue between Fairview Road and Harbor Boulevard.
Hale-Bopp is still visible this week, but its next visit to Earth won’t be for 2,400 years.
Information: (714) 432-5725.
