Clipper update--Center Lorenzen Wright and guard Pooh Richardson, who returned to Los Angeles on Monday night for the birth of their daughters and missed Tuesday night’s 10-point loss at Miami, are expected to play tonight. However, Clipper Coach Bill Fitch is uncertain if Wright will start. Forward Loy Vaught, who started at center against the Heat, had 24 points and 11 rebounds in 47 minutes. The Clippers, who have lost the first four games of a seven-game, 12-day trip, have a 2 1/2-game lead over the Sacramento Kings for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff berth.

Magic update--They’ve lost three straight, including Tuesday’s 105-93 setback to the Philadelphia 76ers, and have a 2 1/2-game lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers for seventh in the Eastern Conference. Magic forward Horace Grant has missed 1 1/2 games because of a back injury. Center Rony Seikaly, playing on a swollen left ankle, had 26 points and 19 rebounds against the 76ers.
