COACH OF THE YEAR

Jack Smith, Nordhoff: In the last two seasons, Smith has guided the Rangers to a 44-16 record, two appearances in the state playoffs and a share of the 1997 Frontier League title. This season, Nordhoff shared the league crown with arch-rival Moorpark, handing the Musketeers their only league loss in the past two seasons. The Rangers have qualified for postseason play in each of Smith’s eight seasons.
