Bristol Agrees to Acquire Smyth Systems

Share

Bristol Technology Systems Inc., which agreed last week to buy a Miami company, said Friday it signed a definitive agreement to acquire Smyth Systems Inc. in a stock transaction. Terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.

Bristol said Smyth Systems, based in Canton, Ohio, would operate under its current management.

Bristol, which operates dealerships that sell point-of-sale systems, essentially electronic cash registers, agreed a week earlier to buy International Systems & Electronics in Miami for an unspecified amount of cash and stock.

The additions of the two dealerships would give Bristol annualized revenue of about $30 million, the company said.
