Girl Hurt in Fall at Anaheim Stadium

A 2 1/2-year-old girl was in guarded condition Sunday night after falling 10 to 20 feet at Anaheim Stadium, authorities said.

Initial reports stated that the child fell from one seating level onto rafters at the stadium during Sunday night’s baseball game between the Angels and the Cleveland Indians.

Details of the incident were not available, and a stadium spokesman declined comment.

A nursing supervisor at UCI Medical Center in Orange said the child’s mother reported that her daughter fell 10 to 20 feet. The child was transported by paramedics from the Anaheim Fire Department to the hospital, where she was being treated for bruises and internal injuries.
