IRVINE — Burlington Air Express said Monday that it has received a contract worth $30 million a year from General Motors Corp. to manage distribution of automotive replacement parts outside North America.
Burlington Air said the contract makes it responsible for distribution of automotive aftermarket parts to all GM retail dealers and regional distribution centers in Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. With the new GM Service Parts Operation contract, Burlington Air’s combined GM logistics management volume will exceed $75 million in 1997, Burlington said.
Burlington Air Express, a unit of Pittstron Burlington Group, offers air freight delivery, ocean forwarding and customs brokerage worldwide.
