Nontraditional Jobs Are Focus of Seminar

Share

Hoping to get lower-income women interested in jobs they might not otherwise pursue, Ventura County’s work-force development specialists and Moorpark College teachers will stage a seminar Monday on nontraditional careers.

The seminar will provide information on a joint college and county program that gives lower-income women free college courses in several job fields, including graphic design, drafting and criminal justice. Grants for eligible women can also cover the cost of books, child care and transportation.

The seminar will be held at Moorpark College. For information about the seminar or qualifying for free classes, call 378-1400, ext. 1667.
