MIGHTY DUCKS PLAYOFF REPORT

The Phoenix Coyotes hope to neutralize Anaheim’s top line of Paul Kariya, Steve Rucchin and Teemu Selanne with a line centered by former Duck Bob Corkum.

Corkum and wingers Shane Doan and Darrin Shannon will try to muscle the Kariya-Rucchin-Selanne line, the league’s most productive with 114 goals.

“They’re so fast, they can poke the puck off your stick and be gone with it,” Corkum told a Phoenix reporter. “You’ll never stop that line completely because it has so much speed. The most important thing against them is not to turn the puck over in the neutral zone and allow them transition opportunities.”
