Biomerica Inc: The Newport Beach developer and manufacturer of medical diagnostic products said net income for the third quarter rose 42% to $99,857, or 3 cents a share, from $70,130, or 2 cents a share, for the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter ended Feb. 28 grew 10% to $2.3 million from $2.1 million. Net income for the nine-month period was $330,742, or 9 cents a share, 47% higher than the $225,622, or 7 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Sales were up 3% to $6.9 million from $6.7 million.
