The Mir space station will be visible from Los Angeles, and viewers can track its motion across the sky from about 8:18 to 8:25 p.m. Tuesday. Mir can appear as bright as the planets Jupiter or Venus. Look to the northwest and follow Mir as it makes its way across the sky up to about 44 degrees elevation and continues to the southeast.
