In other Orange League games:

Anaheim 11, Western 7--David Garcia was three for four with two RBIs and Dan Millhouse was three for three with two RBIs for Anaheim (8-8-1, 3-3).

Brea Olinda 13, Savanna 12--Brea (7-8, 5-1) squandered leads of 8-0 and 10-1, and Savanna’s Joshua Hudson hit a grand slam to pull the Rebels (2-14, 0-6) even in the top of the fifth, 10-10, before Savanna added another run in the inning to take the lead.

But Brea scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth--two unearned--and reliever Scott Davis earned his second save, working out of a no-outs, runners on first and third jam in the top of the seventh.

In the Freeway League:

La Habra 13, Sunny Hills 12--The Highlanders trailed, 10-2, after two innings, but rallied. David Correa hit a two-run double to highlight a four-run seventh inning and Ryan Huff pitched 3 2/3 innings of shutout relief to earn the victory for visiting La Habra (9-5, 2-4), which won its fifth in a row.

Sonora 6, Fullerton 0--Erik Estrada pitched a three-hitter with four strikeouts and six walks and Ryan Vorrell hit a three-run home run in the first, his fifth, for host Sonora (13-3, 5-1).

In the Garden Grove League:

Los Amigos 9, Rancho Alamitos 2--James Smithhart hit a two-run homer in the fifth and Rene Camarillo pitched a three-hitter, allowing one earned run with three strikeouts and one walk for visiting Los Amigos (6-9, 2-2), which broke the game open with four runs in the top of the sixth.

Pacifica 8, Santiago 0--Matt Fischer scattered seven hits and struck out five for the Mariners (10-7, 4-1), who took sole possession of first place in the Garden Grove League. Jon Fenoglio paced the offense with his fifth home run of the year, a three-run shot in the seventh.

In the Golden West League:

Saddleback 9, Santa Ana 3--Jose Gonzalez had three hits, three RBIs and three runs scored for Saddleback (2-4 in league). David Garcia was two for three with a double and a run scored for Santa Ana (2-14, 0-6).

Tustin 2, Westminster 1--Chad Chop hit a two-run homer, his first of the year, with one out in the seventh as the Tillers (11-4, 4-2) moved into a second-place tie with the Lions (10-6-1, 4-2.

In the Sea View League:

El Toro 7, Woodbridge 5--Rob Covault hit a one-out triple in the top of the seventh to drive in Matt Steinau and Jim Stringham with the tying and go-ahead runs and Darrin MacLeod struck out the four hitters he faced in the sixth and seventh innings to earn the victory for visiting El Toro (8-8-1, 2-3-1).

Irvine 8, Corona del Mar 5--Jarred Flint hit a two-out single in the bottom of the sixth to drive in the game-winning run for Irvine (10-7, 4-2).

Santa Margarita 8, Newport Harbor 5--Jeff Kuno had three hits, a home run, two RBIs and earned the save with two innings of shutout relief as the fourth-ranked Eagles (15-2, 6-0) stayed undefeated in the Sea View League.

In the South Coast League:

Capistrano Valley 2, Dana Hills 1--Ryan Brown hit a two-run single in the sixth to drive in the winning run for Capistrano Valley (7-8-1, 3-2-1). Curt Rodriguez (4-2) struck out 11 and had a no-hitter until the bottom of the sixth before allowing two hits in the final 1 1/3 innings for the Cougars. Sean Fluent gave up six hits and struck out 12 for Dana Hills (5-10-1, 1-4-1).

Mater Dei 3, Mission Viejo 2--Ryan Fitzpatrick hit a one-out double in the top of the seventh inning and scored the game-winning run on Tony Micheletti’s RBI single for Mater Dei (13-3, 6-0). Chris Wllmer hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning, tying the score, 2-2, for Mission Viejo (2-4 in league).

In Sunset League baseball:

Esperanza 10, Los Alamitos 7--David Parrish hit his fifth home run of the year and added a double and three RBIs for the Aztecs (13-3), ranked second in the county. Nathan Choate improved his record to a perfect 6-0 as Esperanza stayed one game off the pace in the Sunset League.

Marina 3, Fountain Valley 0--Marina (11-6, 4-2) strung together four straight hits with two outs in the first inning and Derek Amundson and Jason Stewart combined on a three-hit shutout to hand the Barons (11-6, 5-1) their first Sunset League loss.
