Wright Well Rested for Shaq Matchup
Center Lorenzen Wright, who sat out Tuesday night’s four-point loss at Houston while serving a one-game suspension for elbowing Dallas Maverick center Shawn Bradley at Dallas on Monday night, should be thankful he got to rest.
Wright, a forward playing out of position because of injuries to Stanley Roberts and Kevin Duckworth, faces Laker center Shaquille O’Neal in tonight’s home finale at the Sports Arena. O’Neal didn’t play the last two times the Clippers defeated the Lakers.
“If Shaq gets 50 and we win, so be it,” Wright said. “I’ll do my thing and try to run him as much as I can and get as many rebounds as I can.”

Single game tickets for the Clippers’ first-round playoff series against the Utah Jazz at the Sports Arena will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster outlets and the Sports Arena box office.
