Ducks vs. Coyotes Series Update
* Today: Game 6, noon at Phoenix.
* How the series stands: The Coyotes pushed the Ducks to the brink of elimination with a 5-2 victory in Game 5 that gave them a 3-2 series lead. Former Duck Bob Corkum sealed the victory with a third-period goal for the Coyotes.
* What to expect tonight: Look for the Ducks to revert to their defense-first game plan. They played it to the hilt in Game 4 at America West Arena, but deflated after Steve Rucchin’s apparent goal was washed out by the video goal judge. Expect Coach Ron Wilson to juggle his lineup a bit, seeking a spark from someone other than Paul Kariya or Teemu Selanne.
* What Ducks need to do to win: Take better care of the defensive zone, find some offense from their second- and third-line players and get a big game from goalie Guy Hebert.
* What Coyotes need to do to win: Jump on the Ducks early and keep up the pressure. They won Game 3 easily by using that formula.
* Injury report: Center J.F. Jomphe is out with a abdominal injury for the Ducks. Defensemen Murray Baron (broken foot) and Norm Maciver (sprained thumb) are out for the Coyotes.
