Death Penalty
* It is time to get rid of the death penalty. I truly believe that many murderers, including those not on death row, deserve to be executed. However, since only a small percentage of the death row inmates will be executed, and after 10 years or so, it mitigates the effect of the punishment.
Get rid of death row. Get rid of the endless appeals for death row inmates. And make a “life sentence without parole” just what it says--not have parole hearings every few years to see if the likes of Charles Manson are now eligible for parole. Either execute convicted murderers within one or two years or drop the farce of “death sentences.”
