WFS Financial Inc.: The Irvine auto finance company said Tuesday it posted a first quarter profit of $8.6 million, or 34 cents a share, down 7.5% from the year-earlier profit of $9.3 million, or 36 cents a share. Revenue rose 23.8% to $58.8 million from $47.5 million.
