InSight Health Services Corp.: The Newport Beach company, formed from the merger of American Health Services Corp. and Maxum Health Corp. last June, reported net income of $380,000, or 7 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter, contrasted with a net loss of $708,000, or 52 cents a share, for the same period last year. Because of accounting rules, the results are compared with previous year’s results of the acquiring company, Maxum Health. Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 rose 85% to $23 million from $12.4 million. Net income for the nine-month period totaled $748,000, or 14 cents a share, contrasted with a net loss of $4 million, or $2.98 a share, for the first three quarters last year. The 1996 nine-month figure includes a provision of $1.5 million for settling securities litigation. Revenue increased 83% to $68.1 million from $37.3 million.
