Eltron International posted a $2.6-million profit in its first quarter.
The Simi Valley-based company reported a $743,000 loss for the same period in 1996.
Last year’s loss was partially due to the write-off of technology and other expenses related to the acquisitions of Privilege S.A. and FJS Inc., which totaled $3.2 million, the company said.
Eltron International manufactures labeling printers, related accessories and software used by diverse industries such as health care, retail, manufacturing and financial services.
