Pacific Sunwear of California Inc.: The Anaheim casual clothing retailer reported record net income for the fiscal first quarter as same-store sales surged 18%. Net income totaled $1.1 million, or 13 cents a share, for the three months ended May 4, compared with a net loss of $170,000, or 2 cents a share, for the first quarter a year ago. Sales rose 41% to $38.9 million from $27.6 million.
