A pair of Internet companies in Orange County will be among 20 firms pitching to potential capital investors this week at VentureNet 97, the second annual Internet venture capital conference sponsored by the Software Council of Southern California.

The event will be Tuesday and Wednesday at the Queen Mary Hotel in Long Beach.

VentureNet 97 organizers say the funding fest also will include workshops for start-up and transition companies, an Internet Fair, a venture capitalist luncheon and networking opportunities.

NeTouch Communications of Newport Beach and Engage Games Online of Irvine are the O.C. companies seeking financial angels at VentureNet.
