Noshing and moshing: I start my weekend with an early dinner at Cafe Bellissimo in Woodland Hills. They have singing servers, a great ambience, the friendliest staff and incredible Sicilian-Italian food. No one’s pretentious there--it’s very kick-back. Even if I’ve got the weekend off, I still like working at the Palace in Hollywood. It’s an incredible dance club with 1,200 people plus, every Friday. It’s just one of the most fun gigs you can do.

Plunging and lunching: When I’m not on the air on a Saturday morning, my girlfriend, Krista, and I take the Catalina Express to Avalon and get on board Cat-Dive, a dive boat run by Catalina Diving Services. We’ll do a couple of dives--I’m an instructor too. After that, we’ll get something to eat at Antonio’s Pizzeria or we’ll go to Armstrong’s Fish Cafe.

Sun and mum: On Sundays, I call my mum in Torquay, England. Then I’ll go lounge by the pool for a while and relax and get some sun. That’s my favorite thing to do on a Sunday.

Retro metro: I rarely miss my Sunday show because I love doing it. It’s four hours, and I have a lot more of a chance to really get into themes for the “flashbacks” than the one-hour “flashback lunch” (the weekday show he hosts featuring hits from the early ‘80s). It gets you interested in the music and keeps you listening, and really, that’s what it’s all about. I end the weekend at King’s Head in Santa Monica for their fish and chips, which are better than anywhere in England.
