Funds Sought for Renovation
A planned renovation of the UCI Burn Center calls for replacing the center’s two four-bed wards at the UCI Medical Center with six private rooms.
The change would allow isolation of the severest burn cases and permit more privacy for families visiting patients.
Fund-raisers are about a fourth of the way toward their $1.2-million goal, university officials report.
The money would also buy more modern equipment, says a spokeswoman.
Contributions can be made through the university’s gift administration center, (714) 824-1509.
