New Rockwell Automotive Post for Yost

Larry D. Yost has been named chairman and chief executive of Rockwell Automotive in Michigan when that business is spun off from Seal Beach-based Rockwell International Corp. That move is expected by the end of September. Yost is currently president of Rockwell Automotive.

The board will also consist of Joseph B. Anderson Jr., chairman and chief executive of auto components supplier Chivas Products Ltd.; Donald R. Beall, Rockwell’s chairman and chief executive; John J. Creedon, former president and chief executive of Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.; Charles H. Harff, a consultant to Rockwell; and Harold A. Poling, former chairman and chief executive of Ford Motor Co.

* Charles Kimmel has been named to the newly created position of president and chief operating officer for Tivoli Industries Inc., a Santa Ana designer and manufacturer of specialty lighting and related products. He will have responsibility for all operational departments including manufacturing, facilities, finance, production and engineering. Kimmel will also assume the duties of chief financial officer, replacing Vincent Monte, who will continue to serve on Tivoli’s board. Kimmel was previously director of worldwide operations for NetManage Inc., a Cupertino software company.

* Janet Bond has been named general manager of Liberty Integration Software, a subsidiary of Irvine-based General Automation. She will be responsible for the overall management of Liberty Integration Software including product development, business planning, human resources, key procedures, business development and finance. Liberty Integration is based in Vancouver, Canada. Bond joined Liberty Integration Software in 1995 as product sales manager after being president of her own business for eight years.

* Steven S. Willensky has been appointed vice president of marketing for Furon Co., a Laguna Niguel manufacturer of engineered polymer products for the industrial marketplace. He was formerly vice president of global marketing and product management for G.E. Lighting in Cleveland.

* Ed Fernandez has been named vice president, corporate director of sales and marketing for Microsemi Corp. in Santa Ana. He has previously been with Harris, Solid State Scientific and Fairchild Semiconductor.

* Jean H. Macino has been appointed managing director of the newly merged O.C. offices of J&H; Marsh & McLennan Inc. She will direct the consolidation of the Johnson & Higgins Costa Mesa location and the Marsh & McLennan Inc. Newport Beach location into one office. Macino has managed the Newport Beach office for the past four years.

* Ernie Johnson has been named president of Leach International North America in Buena Park, a business unit of Leach International Corp., manufacturer of electrical switching and control devices for the aerospace and rail industries. Previously, he was vice president and general manager. Ronald P. Zimmerman has been appointed senior vice president of marketing and business development at Leach International. Zimmerman, who has been with the company since 1984, had been vice president of sales and marketing for Leach International North America. Also, Paul Rohr was appointed vice president of sales. He had been Leach International North America Western regional sales manager.

* Kevin Garcia has joined Prudential Securities in Laguna Hills as a vice president of investments, with a specialty in retirement planning and asset allocation. He was formerly with Paine Webber’s Long Beach office.

* Ron L. Ercanbrack has joined FileNet Corp. in Costa Mesa as senior vice president, international. Ercanbrack has more than 18 years experience in sales, marketing, service delivery, manufacturing, and engineering at IBM Corp., most recently as general manager, production industry-Asia Pacific South based in Tokyo. He will be responsible for FileNet’s sales, marketing and customer support operations outside of North America.

* Steven M. Akers has joined ARV Assisted Living Inc. in Costa Mesa as vice president of information technology. He was previously senior consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick’s Enterprise Integration Services Consulting Practice.

* Sam Ho has been named corporate vice president of quality initiatives for PacifiCare Health Systems in Cypress, effective July 1. He was formerly vice president, health services at PacifiCare of California. In addition, Karen Goldstein has been appointed vice president of quality initiatives operations. She had been vice president, accreditation at the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

* Fred Thiel has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president and general manager of the storage business unit of CMD Technology in Irvine. He was formerly vice president of marketing. Thiel joined CMD last year after serving as director of worldwide marketing at Standard Microsystems Corp.’s System Products division.
