Principals Named at 2 Elementary Schools
The Tustin Unified School District has appointed Elizabeth Friedrich and Judy Levinsohn as principals of Guin Foss Elementary School and Peters Canyon Elementary School, respectively.
Foss, which opened in 1957, closed in 1978 because of declining enrollment. The campus will reopen this fall for grades kindergarten through fifth.
Friedrich, a 25-year veteran of public education, previously worked as an elementary-school teacher, special-education teacher and elementary-school principal at ABC Unified School District in Cerritos.
Peters Canyon is a new school that will open in the fall for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Levinsohn worked as an elementary-school teacher in Maryland from 1975 to 1992 and spent recent years in the Capistrano Unified School District as a teacher and principal.
