Thousand Oaks residents wishing to address community safety issues are encouraged to attend a special meeting Saturday sponsored by the Sheriff Department’s mobile unit.
The Mobile Resource Center, a 36-foot mobile unit used by the Sheriff’s Department for neighborhood meetings and police emergencies, will be stationed on Los Robles Road, east of Hampshire Road, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sheriff’s representatives will provide information and answer questions on crime prevention, gangs, code compliance and safety concerns regarding Community House, an 11-unit, low-income housing project.
“We’re hoping to bring information into the community for support of the Community House,” Sgt. Harold Humphries said.
