Drive-in movie theaters may be a thing of the past for most in Orange County, but Newport Beach residents can still see films this summer on an outdoor screen at Newport Dunes Resort.

Each Friday from now to the end of September, free movies will be shown at dusk on the shores of the Newport Bay.

“Watching movies on the beach is a memorable and unique way to spend the summer nights,” said Anne Evans Quinn, vice president of community relations for Newport Dunes. “We will be presenting some of the newest and most popular releases. . . .”
