Share

Opponent--Seattle Sounders

Site--Memorial Stadium, Seattle

Time--7:30

Records--Zodiac 9-13; Sounders 16-7.

Zodiac update--Despite winning two in a row and three of the last four, the Zodiac is still 12 points behind Colorado in the race for the final playoff spot in the Pacific Division. The Zodiac, which has six games remaining in the regular season, has only a slim chance of catching up. Zodiac striker Gustavo Leal had an outstanding pair of games last week, scoring four goals, including game winners in overtime against Atlanta and El Paso. Going into Thursday’s games, Leal was tied for the A-League lead in goals with 15 with Colorado’s Steve Patterson and Rochester’s Doug Miller.

Sounder update--Seattle ended a three-game A-League losing streak by defeating Nashville, 2-0, and Colorado, 3-0, last weekend to move into first place in the Pacific Division. Goalkeeper Dusty Hudock leads the league in shutouts (13), victories (16) and goals-against average (0.59). Mike Gailey leads the Sounders with nine goals and seven assists. Seattle beat the Zodiac, 2-1, in Santa Ana on May 2.
