Vigilante update--Mission Viejo is hitting .285 as a team through the first 72 games and has struck out a league-low 399 times. Alan Burke set the team’s single-season record for runs batted in when he had three in Wednesday’s 9-7 victory. Burke has driven in 68 runs so far this season. Infielder Bret Barberie is hitting .320 with nine home runs and 12 doubles. Mission Viejo is four games behind first-place Sonoma County but still has seven games left with the Crushers.

Bandit update--Bend has won five of nine meetings against Mission Viejo this season. Bend starter Chris White is among the top pitchers in the league with an 8-4 record and a league-leading 85 strikeouts. Center fielder Mark Charbonnet is hitting .373 with 14 homers and 45 runs batted in.
