Enrollment Takes Off: While preliminary figures at the nine campuses of the Los Angeles Community College District show enrollment to be up slightly, enrollment at Antelope Valley College rose a whopping 9%, with 9,686 students signed up. . . . Said college spokesman Steve Standerfer: “We haven’t seen an increase in fall enrollment like this since our last boom period of the late 1980s and early 1990s.”
