Ferns and Exotic Plants Featured

Looking for shade plants? Try the Fern and Exotic Plant Show and Sale on Aug. 30-31 at the Arboretum of Los Angeles County.

There will be more than 60 kinds of ferns displayed, plus 70 varieties of other plants, many of which thrive in shady situations.

Lectures and workshops will be held each day at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The shows hours are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The Arboretum of Los Angeles County is at 301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, (626) 447-8207.

Admission to this judged show by the Los Angeles International Fern Society is included with the regular admission to the arboretum: $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and students, and $1 for children 5-12.
