Re Dan Schnur’s Column Right, Nov. 23:
Schnur is right; rigging primary rules won’t get out voters. Furthermore, he’s probably correct in saying that people don’t vote because they “believe” there are more important things in their lives.
Yes, so it seems, although registering to vote has been simplified to filling out a postcard or combining it with a visit to the DMV. Clock time at the polls: 10 minutes.
One wonders what this portends for the future of this country, when, even in today’s world, some folks are giving their lives to gain the right to vote.
