Activision Acquires 2 Game Distributors

Santa Monica software developer Activision Inc. said it acquired video game distributors CentreSoft Ltd. of Britain and NBG Distribution of Germany for a combined $48.6 million in stock, expanding its access to retailers in Europe. Activision issued 2.8 million shares valued at $44.2 million for CentreSoft, a closely held company that had sales of $70.2 million for the 12 months ended in April. Activision acquired NBG for 281,000 shares valued at $4.4 million. Closely held NBG had sales of $19.3 million for the 12 months ended in June. Activision shares rose 13 cents to close at $16.13 on Nasdaq.
