City Joins Effort to Speed Business Permits
The city officially joined eight other South County municipalities, the county and special districts in an effort to help businesses speed through the process of applying for permits.
If approved in June 1998, the proposed one-stop pilot program in the South County area would consolidate the process of obtaining permits for water, hazardous materials, sanitation and air quality.
A joint proposal to form the permit consolidation zone will be submitted to the state Dec. 31.
