School Attendance Boundaries Drawn

Share

Simi Valley school trustees have drawn attendance boundary lines for the new Wood Ranch Elementary School.

City limits will border the west and southern edges and a strip of land running near the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library will outline the northern boundary. A curved line running from Madera Road past the Sinaloa Golf Course to the west of Valley Gate Road will be the eastern boundary.

The school, which is off Martha Morrison Drive, is expected to open next fall.

Construction will cost about $8.5 million, exceeding the $7.3 million the school district originally budgeted, school officials have said. The district hopes to cover the extra expense by selling surplus property.
