Student Safety: Los Angeles school officials will gather at Colfax Avenue Elementary School in North Hollywood today to explain a new school bus safety law to take effect statewide Jan. 1. The law’s key point: All bus drivers must flash their red stop lights every time students are picked up or dropped off--and motorists must stop until the lights are turned off.
