School Districts Select Board Presidents
Fullerton Joint Union High School District Trustee Barbara R. Kilponen and La Habra City School District Trustee Nancy S. Zinberg have been selected presidents of their respective boards.
As president, Kilponen--elected in 1988 and reelected in 1992 and 1996--will preside over board meetings for the upcoming year. She served in the post once before in 1993.
Zinberg--appointed in 1981, elected a year later and reelected three more times--is taking the president’s job for her fourth time.
The presidency in both districts lasts one year. Those in the post are selected by their fellow trustees.
In addition, the Fullerton board chose Trustee Robert N. Hathaway to serve as clerk and the La Habra board chose Antonio Valle Jr. for that post.
Also, in La Habra, Zinberg appointed Linda Navarro Edwards to serve as vice president.
