AML Communications Inc. in Camarillo has received $1.8 million in orders for cellular communications equipment from AT&T; Wireless and from a manufacturer serving the South American wireless communications market.

The contracts, which are add-ons to previous orders from both customers, include multicarrier power amplifiers and low-noise amplifiers. Shipment of the equipment is expected to be completed by March 31, the close of AML’s fiscal year.

“These contracts further validate our marketing strategy of broadening our customer base to include [original equipment manufacturers], both domestically and internationally, and continuing relationships with important customers like AT&T; Wireless,” said Jacob Inbar, chairman and chief executive.
