High School Senior to Serve on Arts Panel
Nicole Werner, a Los Alamitos High School senior, will serve as student liaison to the city’s Fine Arts and Cultural Affairs Commission, which handles entertainment-related events.
Werner, 17, recently won approval from the City Council to serve on the panel. Her term will run through June 30.
“It’s a way to get people my age involved in the community,” she said.
Werner participates in musical theater, a performance group and classes at the Orange County High School of the Arts, on the Los Alamitos High School campus.
After graduation, Werner hopes to attend UCLA--her first-choice college. She said she is considering journalism and arts-related careers.
