Orange County members of a national support group for stay-at-home moms will hold their first meeting tonight in San Juan Capistrano.
Formerly Employed Mothers at the Leading Edge, or FEMALE, is for mothers who have chosen to interrupt their careers to care for their children at home.
The club gives women a chance to meet other at-home moms, form play groups and attend informal meetings to discuss wider options to balance work and family, said Nannette Yount, president of the newly formed Orange County chapter.
There are 142 chapters in more than 30 states, and about a dozen women have joined the Orange County branch, Yount said.
Visitors are welcome to attend the first meeting at 7:30 p.m. at 28492 Avenida Placida, San Juan Capistrano. Information: (714) 489-0094.
