The Organization for the Needs of the Elderly, an agency that has provided services for Valley senior citizens since April 1978, will begin its celebration of its 20th anniversary with an event Friday.
Stuart Zimring, president of ONE, will receive a $20,000 check from Kaiser Permanente spokesman Jim Breeden at a holiday party at the Valley Senior Service and Resource Center in Reseda, a facility funded by ONE.
In addition to the Kaiser donation, Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys announced it will also give $20,000 to ONE in March, said Lola Rabow, the center’s director.
The money will provide funding for the families of disadvantaged seniors who are unable to pay for adult day care, she said.
The party begins at 1 p.m. at the center, 18255 Victory Blvd. Dotties Dancers, a variety ensemble of senior citizens, will perform song and dance numbers.
