UCLA 93, No. 17 Duke 83--Maylana Martin scored 27 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Bruins at Durham, N.C.
Melanie Pearson made five of seven three-point shots and finished with 22 points for the Bruins (3-4), who took advantage of 27 Duke turnovers.
Nicole Erickson scored 29 points for Duke (6-3), which outrebounded UCLA 45-34.
USC 67, Cal State Northridge 60--The Matadors let a halftime tie slip away in the second half and USC scored 23 points off turnovers and 20 more on second-chance points in the first round of the Boise State tournament at Boise, Idaho.
Edniesha Curry scored 24 points and played the entire game for Northridge (2-6). Tammie Mills had six points and 17 rebounds. Neda Milic and Viveca Lof added eight points each.
Adrain Williams, a junior center making her first start for the Trojans (4-2), scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds.
