Children’s Bureau of Southern California is seeking foster parents to provide short- or long-term care for needy children. A foster parent orientation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 7 in the Community Room of the Valencia Town Center, 24201 W. Valencia Blvd.

The Joslyn Adult Center, 275 E. Olive Ave. in Burbank, is seeking volunteers 55 and older with artistic or storytelling skills for area hospice programs.

Columbia West Hills Medical Center is seeking volunteers for a variety of positions. Volunteers of all ages are needed to donate a minimum of four hours a week. Volunteers will be trained by the hospital staff.

The East Valley Multipurpose Senior Center, 5000 Colfax Ave., North Hollywood, is looking for a volunteer to assist the trip coordinator, taking trip bookings, collecting registration money and issuing receipts. The volunteer is needed for four hours twice a week.
