School Workers Will Serve Holiday Cheer

School district employees will dish out free turkey and toys today to needy families at a downtown hall.
Santa Ana Unified School District employees and area businesses raised more than $6,000 for the eighth annual event at Festival Hall.
Deputy Supt. John Bennett said the district has contracted with Festival Hall at 220 E. 3rd St. for more than 1,000 meals of turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy.
District employees and area businesses paid for the food and toys; the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program also contributed.
