WASHINGTON —
President Clinton will travel to New York City and Texas on Jan. 8 and 9 to raise money for Democrats and highlight new government help for college students.
With details still being decided, the president plans a fund-raising stop in New York on Jan. 8 before heading to McAllen, Texas, for an appearance at a high school and an overnight stay, the White House said.
While in Texas, Clinton will hold a rally in Brownsville and appear at a Houston-area community college.
