Eye-Opening Deal on Caribbean Cruise
Psst! Want to sail the Caribbean on the world’s largest cruise ship for only $619 per week? If you don’t need much sleep, Carnival Cruise Line can make it happen.
Eleven cabins above the Dynasty ship’s Point After Dance Club will soon be available for less than half what the cheapest cabins normally cost. The catch is that the noise from the disco may keep you awake as late as 3 a.m., said Carnival spokeswoman Jennifer de la Cruz.
De la Cruz said the company discovered the problem when staff members stayed in the inside cabins on early cruises of the ship, which was finished in October 1996 by Italy’s Fincantieri yard. The cabins were not made available to regular customers, but now the company has decided to market them as “night-owl cabins,” starting in January. Reserve via a travel agent or by calling (800) CARNIVAL.
De la Cruz added that the company has taken steps to ensure the problem won’t occur in its next two ships, due for delivery in 1999 and 2000 from the same shipyard.
