Redondo High Principal Leaves for District Post
The last day of school for Robert Paulson, principal at Redondo Union High School, was Monday. Paulson leaves the campus after five years to become the director of student services of the Redondo Beach Unified School District.
Paulson’s departure leaves a void in the school’s administration. Kelly Johnson, principal at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in Rolling Hills Estates, was planning to step in as principal at Redondo.
Johnson had philosophical differences with Palos Verdes Peninsula Supt. Ann Chlebicki and wanted to work in a different high school. Two weeks ago he decided to stay in Rolling Hills Estates.
Redondo Union Unified is accepting applications for the job until July 18 and hopes to have a principal hired by the beginning of the upcoming school year.
