Thieves made off with a $400,000 art collection kept at a Northridge home last weekend, but don’t expect to see these paintings at Sotheby’s. LAPD’s art theft detail says the collection was unusual: All paintings were by Hungarian artists and the most expensive piece was worth only $4,000. More than 300 paintings were taken. “There may be more here than meets the eye,” said Det. Don Hrycyk.
