General Motors Corp. said its U.S. vehicle sales fell 13% in June from the year-ago month, more than expected, with both car and truck sales lower. The largest U.S. auto maker said sales of its North American-built cars fell 18% to 219,877. Minivan, pickup truck and sport-utility vehicle sales fell 7.7% to 155,576. Analysts had expected GM’s sales to slip about 10%. The Detroit-based auto maker blamed the decline on United Auto Workers strikes at its plants in Pontiac, Mich., and Oklahoma City, as well as lower demand industrywide. The strikes disrupted production of several popular car and truck models. GM shares rose 50 cents to close at $56.875 on the New York Stock Exchange.
