Suggestions Sought on Parking Lot Renovation

Share

Venice residents will soon have an opportunity to discuss how to redecorate a parking lot and will present those ideas to Los Angeles Councilwoman Ruth Galanter at a meeting July 9.

The proposed $200,000 renovation of the lot at 2010 S. Pisani Place will include planters of New Zealand Christmas trees, brighter lights and an access ramp for the handicapped, said Ben Chan, the Department of Transportation engineer supervising the renovation. Currently, he said, the handicapped must access the lot through a driveway, where they are in danger of being hit by cars.

Renovations on the 54-car lot are scheduled to begin in late August, with completion set for the end of October.
