Five robbery suspects were in custody Wednesday after allegedly forcing their way into a home, binding two teenage girls with telephone cord and stealing $4,000 in cash and computer equipment, police said.

Anh-Nguyen Thanh Pham, 18, of Buena Park, was being held Wednesday at the Huntington Beach jail in lieu of $50,000, while four younger suspects, whose names were not released, were being held at Orange County Juvenile Hall, police said.

The five were being held on suspicion of residential robbery after their arrest late Tuesday evening, according to Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Jim Perry.

The suspects allegedly entered a home in the 17500 block of Vacas Circle through an unlocked door and found a 13-year-old resident using a computer in the living room, police said. They tied her hands and feet and began to collect items in the home, Perry said.

A second resident, a 15-year-old girl, arrived home during the crime and also was tied up and threatened with death, police said.

After escaping with money, computer hardware and Nintendo video games, the suspects were seen by a patrol sergeant, Perry said. After a short chase, the suspects were arrested without incident.
